We have a requirement to navigate to a custom FIORI application from the workitem. This feature is required for the Approver to see additional data if required.
We have achieved similar requirement in backend (SBWP), in Objects and Attachments section. For this we need to pass object reference to the work item and add logic in method BI_OBJECT~EXECUTE_DEFAULT_METHOD.
What is the best way to achieve similar requirement from My Inbox application? CALL_BROWSER with URL and parameters is the last option. But I would like to know if there is a better way to achieve this requirement.
Is there something similar to Object Based Navigation(OBN) which was available in Portal.
