Hi,

I am trying to create a DS of profitability analysis as described in help.sap.com.

You create DataSources manually in the IMG of the OLTP system (which can be reached using transaction SBIW) under Customer-Defined DataSources ® Profitability Analysis ® Create DataSource.

after selecting the fields when i press on "infocatalog" it asks me for some developer key. how do i get it, what it costs and am i going the right way of creating DS

Hello prashant,

go to service.sap.com and login there with your or your companies S user(this is given by SAP per installation) after logging in select Keys&requests tab and first register your userid as developer and then register you object.

But I recommend you before do this ask your system admin or developer manager.
