BO4.2Sp4 Export WEBI report into Excel hanging,Prompts page not showing

Hello All,

We are unable to export webi report into Excel ,its just spinning. Also When refresh report,prompt page not showing.Both Export and refresh working if I access BI application server with IP address and with just host name.Not working when I access application servers with fully qualified domain.

Working:http/:xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/BOE/BI and http:/hostname:8080/BOE/BI

Not Working with http://hostname.company.com/BOE/BI.

Please let me know if any one of you have any information how to fix this issue.

Sounds like whatever is managing your FQDN URL is filtering some things webi needs.
Based on what you described :

http/:xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/BOE/BI and http:/hostname:8080/BOE/BI

goes directly to tomcat and

http://hostname.company.com/BOE/BI

is not going directly to tomcat.
so, the question is - who manages this URL - is it a load balancer, proxy, dns filter ??
This is where you need to investigate.
You can collect HTTP traces of the workflows and compare to see what's not making it thru, then show it to your network team to investigate.

Thanks Denis for the information provided.

All three BI links, IP address ,Hostname ,Hostname with FQDN links are accessible and all other functionality working except Export and Prompt page.

We used to have BO4,0 SP8 on this machine few days back and we moved to BO4.2 Sp4 recently.After move only we are seeing issues.
