Impat/Expat Process

need a process for on how to process expat and impats. how do you treat them on the expat side and then on the impat (host country). and make the two records work - when expat returns to home country? HELPP!!!!

Hi Debbie,

In terms of MGE, we need to maintain three extra Action type:

1. Planning the Global Assignment

2. Activate Host EE

3. Activate Home EE

Eventually, you have to maintain the infotype records from 0702, 0703, 0704, 0705, 0706, 0707, 0708, 0710, 0715.

During the assignment period, the status of the Host Country will remain Active and Home Country will be withdrawn, after his / her assignment period the status of the Home Country will be Activated and host country will be Completed.

Hi Debbie

I am doing a current implementation for a Global Client for Expats/Inpats.

We decided not to use Global Employement since we need to activate CE switches which brings in its own complications often blowing off a lot of standard stuff.

Instead we are using Country Reassignment. You need to determine from your Company if they want to run the Payroll of the employee in both the countries. If so, you will need to keep both home and host records as active. Otherwise you can opt to put the home record in Withdrawn status and Host as active.

These two records will have two respective PERNR's related via CP Object.

Your response is appreciated but company will not purchase module. need a more basic process using ECC 6.0 for small employee base.

looking to find out how other firms deal with this procedure. want firm to purchase global mgt systme but they will not

Hi Debbie,

MGE will deliver along with the PA, no need to purchase separately, it is one of the functionality of PA.

If you are not opting to use, go for Country Reassignment action.
