how do u give authoirztions to a specific folder in the portal content

Hi Liza,

In portal, we have Permissions and actions.

Action comes under role. Role has lot of actions. Based on the action , the user can access.

Portal has the following permissions

*Read

*Read and write

*Owner

*Full Control

*None

To restrict the user, first we need to configure the pernissions all the folder Level. then select the folder and assign the permissions ( Read/ Read and write, Owner, full Control) to the user.

Hi Murugan,

Setting permissions for a folder is a simple task.

Go to System Administration >Permissions>Portal Catalog--><your Folder>

Right click on the folder on which u want to assign permissions -->open permissions

search for a group/user --> add it -->select the permission in the table like owner/full control/read/read-write.

save it.
