ODS request deletion job fails

Hi All,

In ODS i tried to delete one request, when I checked in SM37 the deletion job after running 5 hrs and got failed the error is <b>ABAP/4 : system cancelled.</b>

Can anybody tell me how to deleted the request in ODS

Delete bad request from data target and reran request

Steps for resolving issues:

• Go to Monitor screen to check the failed record and click on it to see the Header:

Double click on data target in the above screen to go to the data target

• Double click takes you to the “Manage Data Target” screen, click on Request tab and look for the records in red and delete them:

• Go to the following screen and double click on Data Target:

i have a scenario how to load for ods

1. One initialization is running from ODS 46 toODS YGTGD022 and cube BC04.

2. Another initialization is running from ODS YGTGD033 to YGTGD005.

For tonight’s dataload and to avoid lock issues we stopped the flow from ODS46 to ODS22 and from ODS33 to ODS005.

Right mouse button click on ODS YGTGD046 and ODS YGTGD033 and select manage. Click on the menu Environment -> Automatic request processing. Deselect the options “Activate ODS object data” and “Update data targets from ODS object”.

Once initializations are completed we should start again the flow from ODS46 to ODS22 and from ODS33 to ODS005.

Right mouse button click on ODS YGTGD046 and ODS YGTGD033 and select manage. Click on the menu Environment -> Automatic request processing. Select the options “Activate ODS object data” and “Update data targets from ODS object”.

Again I think you are posting an answer copied from some other reply or a document, and it does not really have much reference to the question asked. Please try to carefully read the question asked and then reply.

Hi Bhanu/Hari.

The request in the ODS is not a bad request. I made it red and tried for deletion but failed to deleted. This is full load request from PSA.

Bhanu : Could please suggest me to procceed further. How to delete this request.

Try looking at the job log is SM37. Also check if there are any short dumps in ST22. If you cant find any clues, try deleting the request again...there should be a reason why the job is cancelled by the system (unless someone manually cancelled it).
