Uploading Data for Characteristic Values in a query seletion

Hi,

When I try to use "Upload Selections" in my "Select Values For [....]" window, nothing happens?

I can easily "Download Selection" to a .CSV file, but it does not work the other way around (Upload).

Can anyone help?

(I use BEx Analyzer 7.0 (SP 14) and the BW got SPS 12.)

Anders,

Do you mean the option to Copy from Clipboard?

I find that you need a separate Excel or Word session to copy values from it to the Variables dialogue box.

No.

When you right-click the "Selection" window, you get a context menu with these options:

- Include Selection

- Exclude Selection

- Save Selection

- Download Selection

- Upload Selection

- Set offset for variable

When i pick "Upload Selection" I can open a ".TXT" or ".CSV" file. But nothing happens, I do not upload anything ...
