Migration R/3 ECC 6

Hi,

I have a BI 7.0 extracting data from SAP R/3 we plan to migrate to ECC6, do I have to rewrite all the extraction as my datasource will have a different name. If someone as experience in this migration I will appreciate if you can share it of if you have any documentation on this.

Eric,

If you guys are just upgrading and not reinstalling from scratch, you won't have any problem... After the R/3 upgrade your Datasource will be the same, with the same structure, everything.

Just make sure you stop your loads on time. When they reconnect both systems, just keep loading.

Unless you delete your Delta queues, or initialize or rectivate the Datasources from the Business Content in R/3, you'll be fine.

You'll be fine then... Just make sure the R/3 guys don't mess with your queues or activate any new business content for BW in there...
