Hi,

We have a requirement to send the workflow work item to the outlook and take the decision from the user.

Below linked helped us, one way it is working fine meaning we are able to send the work item to the outlook, but reading the reply from the outlook user is not working.

http://www.saptechnical.com/Tutorials/Workflow/offline/Index.htm

Issue:- we have exit class (IF_INBOUND_EXIT_BCS : Exit for Inbound Processing), to be executed while mail reply from the user, but this inbound scenario is not working.

Please let us know, any missing configuration in case of In-bound scenario.

Thanks,

Prasad.

Bad solution. I assume from your question that you have no digital signing or any other email security in place.

Email is very very easy to forge, and I doubt any auditors would endorse automated plaintext mail approvals.

As to 'offline', in this decade people doing approvals are connected most of the time unless in airplanes or underground, so why not use a more modern solution like Extended Notifications or web-based solutions such as Fiori Inbox or POWL? Much nicer for the user, more secure, easier to implement.

Hi Lakshmi,

Coincidence as me too handling this since few days.

Checklist:

Check if Inbound settings done (BASIS to do) , check for authorization for the SYSTEM user you using (Security guys to do), check with ms-exchange server if the email-id to which you send mail has been maintained (BASIS will know what to do), maintain your interface/exit in SO50

If all these are set, you will definitely get mails that you send from ms-outlook to SAP.

Hope it helps.
