Hi,
Currently, I am using SAP IDM 7.2 RDS, and I am planning to upgrade to 8.0.
My question is about RDS content, which options do I have if I want to go for IDM 8.0?
Which options/problems were you facing during this upgrade? I'm planning to create a new installation.
Any feadback with the new RDS content for IDM 8.0 ?
Appreciate any help,
Imy
Hi all,
SAP IDM RDS have been abandoned by SAP last year (2018) and there is no easy way to migrate an IDM RDS to a standard one as there are a lot of specific developments coming in with RDS.
Also , SAP do not support anymore RDS installations:

Hi Matt,
Thank you very much for your input,
So if we go with fresh Installation, that's means, after installing IDM 8.0 with last SP I am facing 2 options:
Case 1 :install the new RDS v2.80 and import Data
OR
Case 2: import the old RDS 7.2 to IDM 8.0 and import Data
Do you have "Pros and Cons" of each case?
regards,
Imy

Hi there,
The existing 7.2 RDS should upgrade with no issues. If you choose to do a fresh install and implementation, there is also a 8.0 compatible version of the RDS available from SAP.
