Hi,

I don't get one thing. Why I have to put OCURRENCY IO in filter section and restrict it to particular currency to be able to change data from Analysis for Office?

Hi Lukasz,

an amount key figure references a currency characteristics, so if the key figure as no fix currency the corresponding cell values are aggregated with respect to the currency characteristic. Disaggregation having mixed currencies does not really makes sense, thus the currency has to be uniquely determined on the cell level.

Depending on the data model or query design you have following option.

1 Use a single value of the currency in the fix or dynamic filter

2 In the Query Designer restrict the key figure by a single value of the referenced currency characteristic

3 In case the currency is a kind of 'transaction data currency' the currency characteristic is usually drilled-down in rows or columns. In this case the currency often is 'not a free' value but has to be consistent with a master data attribute (e.g. a profit center currency). In this case you may create a characteristic relationships (based on master data attributes) the check the consistency of the currency used and the master data attribute.
