Crystal report assembly not found exception.

How to resolve the missing assembly exception while creating an object of "ReportDocument" in Crystal Reports runtime.

exception.pngEnvironment: Visual Studio 2012 / 2013

In Control Panel installed programs list "Crystal report run time engine for .NET Framework 2.0 can be seen".

Detailed description of error:----

"Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer, Version=11.5.3300.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.":"CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer, Version=11.5.3300.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"

Check your app.config file, the versions should be 13.x.x.x

Just replace them with the updated version. Create a new project for the versions.

Also, on the VS Dev PC install the EXE so it integrates into VS. All other packages are redist only.
