Change obligatory field to optional

Hi experts,

I would like to ask you if you know how in srm (5.0 Extended Classic) change obligatory field to optional. I need to make the field target value on contract at item level optional, it is obligatory in standard. Can I do it via contomization (spro) or I have to implement proper BADI?
