Problems decompressing SAP Kernel 6.20 Patchlevel 1271

i am using windows server 2003 server and an MS SQL 2000. i am trying to extract the SAPEXE.SAR file and when it reaches the sapcar file it fails to decompress it and it says that this file is already in use. how do i go about fixing this priblem?
