Batch Management and Batch Determination

Hi Friends,

I have done all the settings of batch management and batch determination but it is not giving the result, I don't know why?

One thing, in spro> Batch management>specify batch management and activate status management I found that batch level conversion and batch status management conversion are Grey out (inactive), is this the reason, if so pls tell me how to activate that.

Dear Sekhar,

can you please specify where you try to do a batch determination? Did you get any error or warning message? Did you try if a manually batch determination is working ?

About the buttons.

It's correct that this buttons are greyed out. If the buttons are activ, this means you have to run this report. So this buttons are not the problem.

Hi Sabine,

During Batch Determination, Batch is not picking up automatically.

Every time system is asking for batch and I am giving manually,for eg. if my requirement qty is 1000 pc wich are in four different batches like

Batch: 1 2 3 4

QTY : 300 200 100 400

then system should pick all the four automatically but this is not happening.

help me in this.

Hi,

Check following settings for batch determination.

For batch determination set in OCHA

condition table, access sequence, strategy type, std. batch search strategy,Batch will search as per condition table, i.e. order type,plant,component etc.

Assign search strategy in orderb type dependent parameter.

enter component in CU 70 , make it ascending, enter component in COB1, enter selection criteria.

In production order BOM select component, click on batch determination.System will ask characteristics required. Then system will show number of batches are available in stock.Select copy, total qty will be splited as per setting in strategy as 5 or 10.

You can check this report in batch cockpit BMBC.

in which transaction did you do the batch determination? Did you try the manually batch determination?

Not insert the batch manually, I mean press the button for batch determination? Did you get an error/warning here?

Hi

Batch level conversion button is a batch level conversion program only to change the batch level u will get it active only when u change batch level form a lower level to a higher level ( ex plant to material).

Can u be specific about what other settings u have made, to help u better.

In this IMG activity, you specify the following:

The level at which batch numbers are unique

Whether batch status management is active in the client

The plants in which batch status management is active

The initial status of new batches.

do u mean to say that you are not able to click the clock icon there ...??
