BusinessObjects - Promotion Management Issue with jobs

Hi guys.

Im configuring Promotion Management in BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.2.

All source and destinations systems are defined.

SBID as Source and SBIQ as Destination

After selecting a test promoting job, it starts running but after a minute after it fails.

Job logs are shown below.

Any idea what could be the cause of this issue?

Thanks!

When executing Promote, it starts

What are you actually promoting ?
    couple other things :
    1. You do not need to setup source and destination systems to do promotions. You can simply create a new job and define systems there.

    2. jobserver_SBID.AdaptiveJobServer_LCMSchedulingService_CHILD0_gc is a garbage collection log, which is useless for the purpose of what you're investigating.

Default CMS trace most often useless as well.
If you want to trace promotion workflows - use end to end tracing, as described in KBA 861180

    Hi Denis.

Thanks a lot for your valuable support.

Please see in screenshot below which objects are being Promoted.

As you can see, Source is SBID and Destination is SBIQ.

There are several kind of objects promoted.

Also I have activated E2E Trace as you recommended in Note 1861180, but XML file doesnt seem to collect any relevant data.

Just connection logs but nothing that seems to help to understand why the job fails

Out of curiosity, if you do a Test Promote, does that fails the same way?

It seems that you only have few objects to promote (please bare in mind that there is a limit on objects you can promote in the GUI), and doing a Test Promote can provide you with insight in which object(s) that you are trying to promote that is causing the issue.
