Is there a primary tag for System Administrators?

Hello,

There was Netweaver Administrator space for system admins on scn.

I could not find related Tags list on http://go.sap.com/community/about/using-tags.html-For a list of all the available tags in SAP community, download the Microsoft Excel file (195 KB).

Will "NW AS Java Administrator (NWA)" be our primary tag on community?

What do you think about it?

We will need to use a user tag and choose something like #basis or #sapadmin, we have ended up with the same problem as usual, there is far too many "primary tags" with basis related issues and its going to be painful to reach all the questions.

Yep, 53 secondary tags under "SAP NetWeaver" is a bit unmanageable. I've been struggling to find my old community, and here you all are!

I think we can probably lobby (via the Idea Place) to have a new primary (or secondary?) tag created, if someone hasn't already done so (I haven't checked yet). So, if we do that, what do you think it should be? "SAP NetWeaver Basis"?

A primary tag "SAP Community Network" would also be neat - I'm not sure "Using SAP.com" is overly intuitive...

Hello Joshua,

AFAIK, there is no change about BASIS tags.

I am following the links that I sent before. And I see that BASIS guys are also following them.

There will be some changes on SCN this month. Let's see if something comes with them.

There is some "SAP Netweaver" community page, it seems everything tagged "SAP Netweaver" ends up there. The old->new SCN mapping spreadsheet shows the old "SAP Netweaver Administration" space mapped to NW Java for some reason.

That's because "NetWeaver Administrator" is in fact a Java server administration tool -- not a person. 🙂 The old SCN space was in fact "misused" as a generic Basis space.

Today, there is a general topic tag of "SAP NetWeaver" which is probably the closes to pure Basis, then there are a bunch of more specialized sub-tags under that. The ones that I focus on specifically (besides "SAP NetWeaver") are:

• SAP NetWeaver Application Server
• SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP
• SAP NetWeaver Application Server for Java
• SAP Business Connector (because why not?)

I posted..not sure if I posted correctly because I used tag AS JAVA ADMINISTRATOR but Its nothing to do with AS JAVA..

Another issue I think we are having, all the old SNC network has been archived, so when googling something, you pull up a thread, it shows the question and if an answer exists...all other replies are not available...how can we get all that back??

I am not a fan at all of the new site

Hello ,

This new look of SAP community is too confusing.

Better if we have one primary tag only for SAP BASIS/NETWEAVER administrators.

Now its too difficult to to search for questions and answers.
