How to consolidate the GL Accounts ?

Hi,

I need to know if there is a tool in SAP B1 2005 A to consolidate the GL Acounts.

My guess would be to create a new Database, then to write an SQL query that will take the data from all the required companies and merge it into the new DB. But maybe there is a real tool that do that for me ?

    Hi Daniel,

Is it just financial reporting you need? If so, have a look at PowerAnalytics from Paris Technologies which is a financial and sales reporting tool. This is capable of doing GL consolidated reports without the need to create a separate consolidation company. Their website is here:

    Kind Regards,

Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't think my boss will want to buy a new add-on for SAP B1 now. Our business partner is already trying to sell us other add-ons for SAP and it's not looking good for them.

It depends on your side. Do you only need report or need to maintain separated chart of account that is used for top management review ? XL reporter can be a good BI to be used in preparing consolidated GL report if you want to maintain separated database for consolidated company.

additional notes to olap, it is used to give multi-company consolidations, strategic planning, maximizing profitability, budgeting and forecasting, Integrated external data, dashboard, KPIs and reporters, predictive analytics.

    Rgds,
