Business Partner Contact Person Number range conflict

Former Member

Hi Techies,

We are facing an issue of BP contact person replication process into S4 HANA system. Once BP contact person is creating in MDG instance, that BP contact person number is not same in S4 Hana system as per KNVK table.

We have checked on the option of "Same Number range" in MDG instance. But how can it be configured in S4 Hana system with maintaining same number range of MDG instance.

for an example: now BP contact person MDG hub 40010 / BP Contact of S4 Hana - 20010.
Customer wants MDG and S4 System both will be 40010.

Please assist. Thanks in advance.

Hello Kumar,

The Contact person will be created by internal number range.

The number range chosen in each system will be the one with Internal Standard Grouping Radio button.

Check in BUC2 (assignment on BPP grouping to Number range) which number range has the radio button for Internal Standard Grouping Radio button

Thanks.

Thanks for your assist, we did it same procedures, I have checked once again also. But our requirement is that, MDG Contact Person Number and S4 Hana (ECC level) contact person number will be same, we had tried by maintaining "External Number Range" in VPN1 Tcode but system is not allowing that. So, is there any way to achieve this functionality, please share your ideas.

Hello Kumar,

Unfortunately I am not aware as the standard system will not allow external numbering for Contact person.

Following query was for the same requirement, but till 2 days ago there was no solution given-->

In case you find a solution , do post the answer though 🙂
