Use Program RSWUWFML2 to send notification of Workitem to Lotus Notes with executable attachment. The sap User id to whom you are sending workitem should have email address maintained in su01d and Communication method should be Email.

Thanks for your time Arghadip, I know these steps to be able to send workitem to any emailid, one should schedule RSWUWFML2 which picks up new(depending on selection) workitems send it to external emailids.

what I am interested in knowing is without having any SAP gui in the mechine how can a person able to process the SAP workitem which I am not able to test it at this movement because my request for mail server usage is still not approved. So am not able to configure mail gateway in sap in SCOT.

Also I am interested in knowing more technical details about IBM Lotus Notes access for SAP solutions.

The general answer is that it can be done only through exposed interfaces - i.e. either web services or RFC-enabled functions modules. I am not sure how well Duet will play along with Notes - as Microsoft has been involved I have my doubts.

Back in the bad old days when we were using 3.1H there was an API (RFC-enabled function modules) which we used for communication between Lotus Notes and SAP (communication initiated by Lotus Notes). At the time Lotus had a fair presence at SAP PartnerPort in Walldorf, so perhaps you can find some information if you 'Google around'.
