what is the differnce btn sapscript and smartform ?

which is more benificial and how?

*script is client dependent whereas smartform is client independent.

*it is possible to have a smartform without a main window.

*less programing in smart form

*multiple page format is possible in smart form

*we can maintain background graphics in smartform

*scripts doesnot generate any funtional module where as smart form generates.

*multiple page format not allowed in scripts allowed in sf.

*labelling is possible in scripts not possible in sf.

1)Smartforms are new version of SAPscripts.

2) smartforms client independent, SAPscript client dependent

3) We can have the first page as portrait and next consecutive pages as landscape in smartform and this cannot be acheived in SAPscript

4) We can loop the Intrnal table(line items) in Smartform adn this looping of internal table in not possible in SAPscripts.

5) Easy to have a watermark in Smartforms

Difference with SMARTFORMS vs. SapScript(SE71)

The Following are the differences :-

a) Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts

b) It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .

c) Labels cannot be created in smartforms.

d) Routines can be written in smartforms tool.

e) Smartforms generates a function module when activated.
