Valuation Class change - urgent

Hi,

I want to change valuation class. But when i try to do that in MM02 it says process order already exists. We tried to delete process order by attaching the deletion flag. But the still when i try to change in MM02 the system gives the same message.

How to solve this issue?

Hi,

Make sure no stock and receipts like production order exist. If stock is there then scrap it. If production order exist, set TECO and CLSD, then set Deletion flag.

THen try changing the valuation class.

Ramesh,

Some of the prerequisites I remember,

1. Nil Stocks

2. No Transaction data - PR/PO/Reservation (Data needs to be archivied and deleted) Just flagging record for deletion will not help.

This is a tediuos process, <b>I would suggest you to flag that material also for deletion and create a new material with correct valuation class and use it</b>.

If stocks exists you can do a material to material transfer using movment 309 in MB1B transcation. You need to do a mass change to replace this material with new ones in all BOM where it is used.

HI,

My problem is that my client in not allowing to change Material number because the material number is controlled by group as a whole.

Change the system of the Process order to close and than try to change the valuation class.

Hi Ramesh,

delete all pr and po then transfer stock to dummy location , once you change valution class bring back your stock

We have already made stock Zero. The problem is with Process Order only.

Hi,

To change valuatio class for a material stock should be zero. For process order TECO that order.
