I do have installed MDM 5.5 SP04 and Oracle 10g on the same machine and made all the repositories on the server.
Now i need to create a new server and i need to transfer all the repositories which were made on the earlier server onto the new one.
Actually the problem is our old server has crashed and now v r not able to open any of the MDM components not even console manager coz the server has stopped and it is not running and v need to migrate all the old repositories.
And v haven't archived the old repositories.
Is it possible to migrate all the repositories to the new server. If so please lemme know.
Please help......
Hi Tejas,
just unarchive the repositories from the current server and archive them the new server.

hi Tejas,
I dont have the server access over here, but one thing is sure, that you can find them in one of the folders in the server; go to the installed directory of the server and search by providing one repository name. i think in this way you can locate them. Just try it out; it may be helpfull

hI tejas,
If u have the a2a file you can recover the data also.
Data also will be stored on the Archive but depends on when u archived the repository. All data untill the time archiving can be recovered.
If you are going to Install the new server on the same machine then you dont need the archive too.
just follow these steps while instaling the new server
During the Installation Step Give no in the Replace server backup.
Then you can mount all your previous repositories form the new server itself.
Hello
Do u have archive of your previous repositories ?
If yes then u can just unarchive those repositories into new server/machine.
Jus put those archives into ur local machine.
- Open console , right click on server name in mdm cosole
- thn u will see option called as unarchive , click on that and then unarchive repositories.
or do tell me in detail
