Hi Gurus,
Here is our situation:
The same User has to be able to see different values of one InfoObject in different Queries.
For Example: In Query1 the User has to see only one Cost Center and in Query2 - many Cost Centers.
How can this be done with the new BW 7.0 Authorization Concept?
We have tried the user to be included in two different roles , which contain the Auth. Analysis Objects, but it's not working.
We have also tried with Authorization Variables - also not helping.
Thanks in advance.
S.
Hi Slavina,
Both your queries are from same info Provider or Different Info providers.
1. If it is on different Info Providers, I think you should be able to tackle by creating two different analysis authorization ( One for each info provider and the corresponding Cost center Values) and assigning both to the same user.
2. If it is on same info Provider: You can tackle it by (the method you have already tried) using Authorization Variable and putiing a 'If' condition for the query technical name.
With Best Regards
