Dear Ellen,
1.MD04 shows you the Stock/Requirement lists as on date.
2.It's a Dynamic one.
3.Taken from help - MRP element data which has different meanings depending on the MRP element.
In the first column you always find the:
number of the MRP element
number of the MRP segment
forecast period for forecast requirements
requirements type for planned independent requirements
material number of the pegged material for the dependent requirement, and so on
Depending on the MRP element or the situation you find the following in the second column:
the MRP element item or
(in the case of an individual customer segment also the delivery schedule number)
the order or purchase order type
(if necessary with the fixed requisition indicator *)

Hi
MRP data element is the proposals or requiremnts.
Example :procorder,planned order
Subreq is the subcontract requriement.
MD04 will always show the latest position of stock and requiremnts and is dynamic.
If you have changed the requirements or run MRP definitely latest postition wil be shown
