Not all hierarchies support PSA loading. Hierarchy datasource has to support PSA hierarchies. either way you can check in data monitor.

i know that PSA is meant for interrmediate storage of data between source and the data target. Is there any other functionality available for PSA other the intermediate storage?

Go to rsmo and check your Object and click on the successful or failed request and go to detail button and you will see if data got loaded to PSA first before data target or only data target.

thanks.
