How to decide the DN in the LDAP?

On our LDAP, we see the DN defined as

o=V.A. Tech,c=va

However when we use "o=V.A. Tech,c=va" to test the LDAP connection,

we have failed with LDAP error 32 "no such object".

Please help decide what should be the DN?
