I am new to SAP BI. Actually, we are still in blueprinting. One of my biggest concerns is monitoring BI process chains for failures and their overall performance. I have been rather disappointed in the out of the box views installed with the BI Administration Cockpit. How do you all do your monitoring? Do you mostly use the SAPGui? Do you use the BI Administration Cockpit? Have you created your own Cockpit? Do you have any automated alerts? Are their any good 3rd party tools for monitoring the BI system?
I hope you all can supply some good suggestions!
Hi ,
we are using Administration Cockpit to monitor the jobs ( Going Live by Oct ). There are few queries that show the process chain status 0TCT_MC12_Q0100 and 0TCT_MC12_Q0110. these are expection and conditions queries . You can set up a broadcasting setting to these queries and get alter set up if they fail.
The other queries are
0TCT_MC11_Q0141
0TCT_MC11_Q0131
0TCT_MC11_Q0120
Hope it helps,
Cheers,
Balaji

Usually the practice is to send alert when a job fails.
