Contracts with items from more repositories

Dear MDM Experts,

we would like to use SRM MDM Catalog for storing contracts too. Is it possible to make a contract, which has items from more then one repository? Unfortunately we can't test it now, but it would be important to know because of the planning of repositories. Do you have any experience on this field?
