Problem in implementing Batch Mgmt for a material

Hi All ,

Pls help me to resolve following issue ...

In IMG Batch mgmt is configured at Material level and I wanted to implement Batch Mgmt for a material.

I did try to set BATCH MGMT indicator in Material master - Plant / Purchasing of that material, but system prompts an error.Actually stock ( normal and consiged is available of that material) in various plants.

Can u help to resolve this problem.

I did try to check for CONVERSION programs also but in IMG- Logistics General - Batch Management - Specify Batch Level and Activate Status Management, Batch ->CONVERSION is not enabled and so batch Status mgmt - > conversion.

What is worng , why these options are not enabled .
