Message behind MB21

While doing reservations in MB21, if the material in system is 20 kg and reservation is made for 30 kg then the systems displays warning message but it reserves 30kg material.

How can i change this warning message to error message so that the user cant reserve more quantity than present in the system.

Dear Aisha,

Do the requireed confiugration settings in OMCP transaction.

Here we tell the system type of availabilty check and also what type of message that we need for the reservation.

Thanks Krishna, I have done changes in OMCP for movement type 201 and place B replacing A in Dynamic Availablity Check but still it appears as a warning.

Any more ideas?

Go to omb1, Replace A by B For Mvt type 201.

R u checking the setting against the corresponding message type.

Hi,

Go for the Menu path

IMG-> MM->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Define Attributes of System Messages-> Setting for system massages (OMCQ)

Find out your massage which is appear at the time of transaction and change its category from W-warning to E-Error.

Rewards if issue gets resolved.

Thanks Sanjay, but tell me one more thing.

This message is configured already as 'E' but it does not stop us to make reservations for greater quantities than actually exist in the system actually , it just behave as a warranty although it has already configured as error.

Any ideas that why this is happening??
