Dear Mr.Anbu,

Generally these items - Screw, washers are maintained as Bulk items.

Please go through the help given by SAP.

Indicator: bulk material

This indicator defines a BOM item as a bulk material, which is available directly at the work center (for example, washers or grease).

The dependent requirements of bulk materials are not relevant to materials planning. This means they are not taken into account for net requirements calculation. Therefore planning for bulk materials should be consumption-based.

If bulk materials are subject to material requirements planning, you must create planned independent requirements for them.

Use

Dependent requirements are only created in the planned order for information purposes and they can be displayed there. Dependent requirements for bulk material are not shown in the MRP list or the stock/req. list.

You can maintain this indicator in both the material master record an the BOM item. The indicator in the material master record has higher priority.

If a material is always used as a bulk material, set the indicator in the material master record.

In this case, the Bulk material indicator in material master record is automatically set in the BOM item.

If a material is only used as a bulk material in individual cases, set the indicator in the BOM item.

Dependencies

To improve system performance, you can define in the IMG for MRP that no dependent requirements are to be created for bulk material items. However, this also means that you see no information on bulk material components in the planned order or production order.

Hi Anbu

For planning of those low cost , declare it as a bulk material and plan as every body else has said. For consumption of the same u need not declare these in the BOM of the FG , instead u can consume against some production cost center at the month end using t-code MB1A & movement type 201. These cost can finally flow to the product through cost center activity booking. U can get the detailes of the cost center consumptions in report KOB1.

Hi Anbalagan

If u want the materials to be maintained in the BOM then there is no other option u have to issue them against the Production order in MB1A or in Co11N.Try to convince ur client that if they want an easier option they can do a GI of 201 against cost center at month end of these low cost materials.

Hi,

You can maintain these parts as bulk material either in material master or in BOM so that controlling will be easier.Plan these materials by maintaining re order point level.

Hi Anbalagan

You can maintian these items in consumption based planning.

You can maintain the mrp type as VB manual re order point planning in MRP1 view.

Maintin safety stock in MRP2 depending upon your requiremnt
