I am looking for a solution to restrict some users form posting for last dates. I mean some user must be able to post just current date of system or future.

Is there any solution?

why do they need to be restricted to current or future date?

You can, however, restrict to certain posting periods

Dear Colleen,

I know I can make a restriction per posting period.

I am in charge of a wholesales project in a traditional market which company has, let's say, more than 120,000 customers and legacy system for DSD supports this kind of restriction.

FI department needs the same functionality in SAP because they would have a restricted posting period to force branches(let's say sales center in different cities) to make sure they will collect money(Cash, POS, Check) on time and will keep into system daily. To manage this number of customers in 28 different branches FI department controls FI documents as a daily task and finalize them end of each week. They would no one be able to change any document after their control. You know otherwise by end of the period they might not be able to close FI period in just couple of days. Maybe controlling and finalizing the whole sales for a period takes more than two periods. We have lot's of financial transaction each day and it is not as simple modern markets as.

If I tell the truth I am not sure if it make sense but I am look for same requirement in different location. Maybe in similar traditional markets.

Thanks for your reply again.

Hi Omid

Not security but are you able to investigate to see if Finance validations or subsituations can be a right fit for your requirement. Link below for information about it.

Disclaimer - am not a finance person so have not configured this before but am aware Finance Consultants have used this to achieve a user restriction requirement.
