Hi,

Requirement
: We want to have Fiori Launchpad on Portal with ABAP FES content, wherein I assign the remote Catalog & Groups to Portal Role.

Both our Gateway (Frontend ABAP) Fiori Server & Enterprise Portal are installed on the same system/server.

I can run Fiori Launchpad & see Groups & Catalogs from gateway (FES) Fiori server URL Please see screenshot one from below. Whereas If I am running from enterprise Portal, Fiori Launchpad I am getting blank screen, please see screenshot 2 & 3 below.

  1. Established Connection between Portal & Fiori Gateway server
  2. I have added the FES Remote Catalog & Group to the Portal Role.
  3. Assign the Role to the User.
  4. Issue: I could not see the catalog/Group while testing/running the Portal Fiori desktop url. i.e Fiori Launchpad is not working from Portal.

Portal Server: 7.50.3301.409098.20160921083618

UISAPUI5_JAVA: 1000.7.50.7.0.20170309181200

Gateway Server:

SAP_GWFND7500008SAPK-75008INSAPGWFNDSAP Gateway Foundation

SAP_UI7510003SAPK-75103INSAPUIUser Interface Technology

Portal URL:http://abc331:50200/irj/portal/fiori#Shell-home

Gateway URL:https://abc331:8001/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html?sap-client=001&sap-language=EN#Shell-home

When I run from Gateway server directly, Launchpad is working as expected.

When I run the Fiori Launchpad from Portal, I am getting the below errors.

Information: We have not implement web despatcher, as both Portal & Frontend server are installed on same machine (system) and we access this only Intranet (company LAN).

yes Ansar, I can add Individual Fiori Application as each Fiori template Iview. I,e as SAP Fiori Iview for each application.

But I do NOT want to have as standalone Fiori applications, instead I want to import & run complete FES Catalog & Group from Portal.

Hello Maha,

What is your SAPUI5 version on Portal and Gateway? In order for Remote Catalogs to work, SAPUI5 version on portal should be on the same level or higher than SAPUI5 version on ABAP FES (Gateway Server).

Thanks,

Sudheer.

Hello Maha,

Seems like UISAPUI5_JAVA (7.50.7) component on portal and SAP_UI (751 0003) component on Gateway are on different levels. In fact, Gateway seems to be on higher level. Please check your SAPUI5 version on Portal vs Gateway.

You can check using following path both on portal and gateway.

/sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5/index.html

Thanks,

sudheer.

Hi Maha,

You need WebDispatcher, as your Gateway and Portal use different Port numbers. This is against CORS specification. Install WebDispatcher instance or any Reverse Proxy and ensure both Portal and R3 can be called from exactly same domain to resolve this error.

Please also note you will need to activate Fiori 2.0 design support on your Portal also, refer to Note 2486524 for details.

Best regards,

Nick

Hi Maha,

I faced similar error in my case and I followed SAP note 2285941. Also in my case I want UI5 source as ABAP to consume remote content. Hence I found that the web dispatcher url was not able to reach Portal FLP using the same host and port. Once we fix the dispatcher config it was working.

I'd like to share the experience of FLP@EP with you. Can we reach via e-mail address?
