UME: Manually created users in local DB not loaded from LDAP

Hi All,

We created key users in the local DB of the portal so that we could begin testing before an LDAP server was available.

Since the LDAP server is available now, we switched the UME datasource to LDAP (read-only mode).

The problem was that the key users were still shown as being stored in the local DB whereas all other users were shown as being stored in the corporate LDAP. Trying to resolve this issue we deleted the locally stored key users via the user administration interface of the portal and restarted the server. We hoped that they then would be loaded from the LDAP like all other users.

However not so: They were still missing in the UME after the restart. Switching the UME database back to "local DB" and forth to "LDAP readonly" didn't help.

How can we get the portal to recognize those now missing LDAP users without creating them manually?

Portal: NW04s SP09, LDAP: Novell eDirectory

Thanks a lot,

Jens
