Trial version new install with new install of Windows Server 2008 r2

Recently downloaded and installed Crystal Server 2016. I have been having nothing but issue since installing the software. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled with no success. The server is fully updated via Windows update. Please see screen shots below pertaining to errors and please advise. Not a good start since we are considering buy licenses, but we can’t even demo the software at this point. The server Crystal is installed on is a brand new Windows Server 2008 r2. cs1.pngcs2.png

Hi Don,

Wondering if you had a moment to review the log file i have attached?

I would like to get this issue resolved so the powers the be can make a decision if they want to purchase or not. If we can't resolve the install issue, we may need to turn to a different solution.

Hi Don,

When the dependencies were checked, all the dependencies were successful on both installs.

After looking at the logs, which i have attached, it appears there is a whole slew of .DLL's that did not register...errorsandwarnings.txt

When I attempt to start the CCM is when I receive the 1st error message pertaining to the missing .DLL. I also received the same error during install. Could the failure in registering .DLLs a permission issue? Or was logged in as Administrator.

Almost looks like some kind of missing Framework?

Hi Keith,

When it was installing it first checks for dependencies, did you see any missing parts?

Go into the install logs and look for errors also. Should be in here under a date folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\logs

First error is a dependency missing, second error is because of the first error.

It could be a missing version/patch Framework or possible the VC 2005 C++ ATL Security update needs to be installed.

Start the CCM and try to enable all servers. If you can't log in then repair the install.
