Running SAPSprint on two ports simultaneously

Hi Community,

couldn find anything regarding my question in SAP Notes, Community or on the Internet.

Here is the curren situation:
SAPLPD is configured on client PCs running Windows 7 as a service on port 516 (srvany) and as a process via autostart on port 515.
This is neccesssary because in some cases (OMS) printing can not be provided via frontend printing (SAPGUI) and historically in SPAD some of the PCs serving as printservers are defined with port 515 and some with 516.
Changing this to one port in all backends would be a mess.

As SAPLPD is not supported any more I'm looking for a solution to set up SAPSprint analogue.

The easiest way from my point of view would be to have SAPSprint run twice as a service, one with port 515 and the other with port 516.
I tried just to install twice with different ports, but the installer recognizes that SAPSprint ist already installed.

Has anybody an idea how to achieve that?
Or even a similar configuration with one service and a process via autostart, as we have now?

Thx in advance for your support.

Regards Dirk

I got the information from SAP, that starting SAPSprint more than once on a machine is not possible.

So we have to change the port to one unique on our backends, that will be default.

    Info from SAP:
The information for each printer is stored in 3 tables TSP03, TSP03C and TSP03D in the field PALPDPORT. A 0 in the field means default, thus 515.

SAP will give me a z-report for a mass update.

    Regards Dirk
