Hi,

Take care when using custom views / custom tables for product recommendation for product data if you plan to use them in the E-Mail Product Recommendation block. We had our Product Master Data in our HANA database on different tables than hybris marketing standard CUAND_PROD_xxx tables (co-deploy with BI on HANA), so used a custom view here, and on the recommendation model preview they work fine, but in email I wouldn't get the recommendations. A SAP Support Ticket then indicated that:

"Within the Hybris Recommendation, it is possible to define a custom Item (Product) data source. However, in order to use the integration with the email, the product MUST exist as a Hybris Marketing Product and should be replicated into the various CUAND_PROD_* table. The reason behind this is that the Email campaign execution engine needs to know how to retrieve the various product information that is requested within the email such as product name, product image...

I would suggest you to either upload all your products into hybris marketing or create an ABAP report to extract your product into the various CUAND_PROD_* table."

Hi Bhaskar,

I assume you're on a onPrem system (ext. guide).

Have you worked through linked extensibility guide?

You could ie. start copying a sap standard view and modify it.

Best,

Matthias
