Hi Experts,

Can anyone tell me how to view maintenance shop papers on a mobile device for an order that has been imported from the R/3 for a user. Is there a standard functionality to view the maintenance shop papers or we have to implement BADI.

Its Urgent!

Thanks a lot in advance!

Regards

Kanwar,

Currently there is no standard functionality to view the shop paper in Mobile Asset Management Application. By looking at the system status of the order /notification in the handheld you could know whether the shop paper was printed or not.

Depending on the device used, You could however print the contents of the order data in the handheld to the local printer associated to the handheld.

If you want to capture additional data in the shop paper thats on the Order details, you would have to enhance the Order and collect all the details and pass the same to the Mobile device.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Is there a way to import the maintenance shop papers into the client device in PDF or any other text format? If yes, please explain how?

The Clinet device is configured on my 'Desktop'.

Kanwar,

The latest version of MI (7.1) which is currently in ramp up, provides you with the functionality to send attachments to the Mobile device.

Opening up attachments in Mobile device (PDA's) normally require more memory, since it would have to open up the relevant application.Hence unless its absolutely neccessary, i would suggest not to move the attachments to the handheld.

Thanks

technically possible. but it will require you many enhancements that are not

covered by the official enhancment guide. anyway, you can make use of pdf

libraries for java (there are free libraries out there) to generate the pdf documents

from your syncbo data. you will need a servlet that will receive the request, create

the document in the desired format and return it to the browser. (the same thing

for xml and txt format).
