Hi all
I have Idoc to file scanerio.i had configure alert configuration properly
in alrtcatdef, and created rule definations in RWB as of ADAPTER type.
for testing purpose i restrict the read/write authority of the target folder where the file has to be created.
My alert are working properly.
but i am getting multiple mails with container variable SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT giving message (acess denied )
showing in mail., upto this everything is OK.
when i tried to use supress multiple alert option in RWB alert configuration.
than i am getting 1 mail only, but when i confirm it from Alert Inbox , than again i receive 2-3 mails for the previous error.
in alcatdef i have given 1 in max no of deliv option
regards
AJAY

in SLG1 logs i am getting multiple logs for single adapter error,
these logs has different alert id , visible in mails received also.
but one thing i noticed in SLG1 logs, first alert sub-object text is
Generate Alert processing in Central System.
but for the second or next logs sub-object text is Confirm Alert.
i think some where i had configure mistakenly Alert confirmation opton
Thanks & Regards

Hey
it looks like in addition to actual alert you want to trigger some other alerts are also getting triggered, may be some faulty communication channel(check that in RWB),since ur getting more than one alert i m kinda positive that you have some faulty CC or some other kind of error which is triggering these extra alerts
Thanx
Aamir
in RWB comm channel monitering my channel is showing this message 3 times for the same file History:
- 2007-08-23 19:59:26 GMT+05:30: Error: Message processing failed: FileNotFoundException: E:\TRAN\XI_NYK\I3030974.txt (Access is denied)
- 2007-08-23 19:59:26 GMT+05:30: Processing started
- 2007-08-23 19:54:25 GMT+05:30: Error: Message processing failed: FileNotFoundException: E:\TRAN\XI_NYK\I3030974.txt (Access is denied)
- 2007-08-23 19:54:25 GMT+05:30: Processing started
- 2007-08-23 19:49:25 GMT+05:30: Error: Message processing failed: FileNotFoundException: E:\TRAN\XI_NYK\I3030974.txt (Access is denied)
may due to XI try to write the file in the target folder (E:\TRAN\XI_NYK\),
So it is generating 3 alerts...
THx
AJAY
the problem is due the fact that
Adapter Engine tries 3 times with 5 min interval to send a message before declaring it as a failure, so thats why
i am getting 3 mails for the 3 failed attempts
2 ways we can solve this issus :-
1. RWB -> Alert config -> select suppress multiple mails.
2. Through Visual Admin make the IS_Retry parameter as one.1
Thx & Rgs
