Hello,
How does the order calculate the comsumption price for a material with alterantive BOM. I thought it would take the standard price and calcualte based on the order quantity to be produced.
I am getting different value for materials with alternative BOM's but for regular BOM's I am able to reach the order values based on the standard price of the material times the order qnty.
Please let me know.
In t-code OPL1, where the costing variant for production order actual is maintained, the standard valuation variant picks up the valuation price according to the price control of the material master.
If you maintain S for your materials as price control indicator, then you are right that it takes the standard price.

Hi
It depends on the valuation variant. Please check the valuation variant and most of the time the valuation variatn will pick up the price from standar price, purchase info records, etc
Thanks
Ashok
