Rfc to jdbc --issue with import structure

Hi

I am doing asynch RFc to jdbc scenario, for which I followed the below blog,

/people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2006/12/28/send-rfc-to-sap-xi-150-asynchronous

(My abap code is as per the blog)

But one doubt ,as per the blog, my imported rfc structure in IR doesnot conatin those fields(table structure) then how this mapping is going to happen?

Else all the configurations are ok and success in runtime n in sxmb_moni,

Please can anyone help in understanding this,

Thanks

    Hi ,

I believe you have imported RFC_READ_TABLE.

You need to import the FM 'ZRFC_READ_TABLE_EOFM' in XI. Once you do that you can see all the structures.

      Hi ,

Did you give the required parameters in the tables statement when you created the RFC?

BTW did you create the FM 'ZRFC_READ_TABLE_dummy as remote enabled ?

Not sure if this will help you.. Delete the RFC which you imported in XI.

Go to SE37 in the system in which you created the RFC.Enter the FM name 'ZRFC_READ_TABLE_dummy.

Click on Menu -> Function Module -> Release -> Release

      Regards,

      Sumit

Whatever function module you are calling in background task, you have to import the same Function module in IR. i.e. dummy function module.

      Hi ,

      >>as i cudnt see feilds in RFC structure

I find your reply very confusing. BTW How are you trying to see the imported RFC structure in XI ?

Go to Imported Objects. CLick on RFC. Double click on the RFC which you have imported. In the Right screen Below Structure Tab.. You will Find

Display Message Type - Select Response from Drop Down.

Now you should be able to see the structure.

Now when you do the mapping you need to select in the source 'ZRFC_READ_TABLE_dummy.Response.

      Regards,

      Sumit
