Infotype 8 Deletion

Hi ,

I am facing a problem in which Infotype 8 is getting deleted in Production , because of which there is problem running the payroll .Is it possible somehow bu any user to delete Infotype 8 .I know tht an abaper can delete it by going into table , but is there some way by which user can also delete the entries.

If you are authorized to create the code in the SE38. there are some standard reports available to delete the data. If they run the std report then it will be get deleted...

Hi,

Time constraint 1 is used for all of the infotypes containing information that must be available at all times.I dont know there is standard transaction for deleting records from Infotype 8.

There is program to delete all infotype records

RPUDELPN or TCode PU00.

But what i feel in your case is creating a program utilizing the function module 'HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION'.

The data can be deleted by means of PA30 and in SE38 writing a small piece of code the data can be deleted....

From Se38 it can be deleted , but users dont have acces to se38 .

From PA30 , whole record cannot be deleted.Blank record will be there .If u try to delete the record , it will give an error 'Record cannot be deleted (time constraint 1)'

Is there some other way to delete the record by the user , please let me know .

Hi,

try using the Function module 'HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION' by passing the operation -DEL and pass the records which needs to be deleted,provided they have authorisation.
