Dear All,

Can anyone give me some idea about international assignment.

like What action we need to take in home country and host country...

and what are payroll implications....

for Tax calculations which country (Home or Host) should be taken into account.

Hi Kumar,

Apoligise for late reply, i was held up in tight schedule. Just to share the view on your query.

International Assignment is the concept called Management of Global Employee, here we need to include the three special Action type: Managing the Global Assignment, Activate the Host Country Employment, Activate the Home Country EE.

Apart from that, we need to maintain the infotype 0702, 0703, 0704, 0705, 0706, 0707, 0708, 0710, 0715.

In terms of payroll and tax, the system will take care not to duplicate the entry. It will take the host country details during the assignment and take the home country after the repatriation.

Hi Ram,

Yes ofcourse.. MGE are split in to Five stages, Planning, Assignment, Transfer, During the period and Repatriation.

1. Managing the Global Assignment action type (81) includes all the necessary MGE infotypes like 0715, 0710..... ( To activate the period of assignment and the corresponding details like documents, checklist, documents on dependants, compensation offer, commuting, currency fluctuation, Global Assignment Status ).

2. Activate the Host EE : To activate the host period, during which host country assignment will become active and home country will be in the status of Withdrawn.

3. Activate the Home EE : After the assignment period, the employee can return to home country or to some other assignment. To activate the Home country, the host country status will become Completed and Home country will become Active.

How do we do this.. Activate the Host EE : To activate the host period, during which host country assignment will become active and home country will be in the status of Withdrawn.

i mean to ask how to we activate host period.. any report..or t code or img path..

Also pls mention for all the 3 types...

Hi Ram,

Once you have configured all the three action type, you can probably maintain the status in the infotype 0715 and you can mention the assignment period in the Infotype 0710 and their details.

Hi,

As how you are confiuring the other action type.

1. Planning Global Assignment with Employement Status as 0 and IG denoting your infogroup, which will consist of these infotypes with insert function 0001, 0002, 0710, 0715, 0021, 0706 (Home), 0706 (Host), 0707.

2. Act Home Emp : with emp status 3 and infogroup with Cop function of 0001 & 0008.

3. Act Host Emp : with emp status 3 and infogroup with Cop function of 0001, 0002 & 0008.

Hai.

Check the standard action for country re assignment and the infogroup. Clarify which data u neeed to capture from the client for that action.. and accordingly create an Infogroup..

Tax implications would be country dependent.. Hence Cofig settings should be done for that country specific and it dosent efect the current settings...
