Import Manger Loading issue

Hi,

Appreciate if I can get some help in addressing following issue in Import manger MDM 5.5 sp4.

1. Trying to load hierarchy table with 3 distinct columns in the input file by selecting them and thru create hirarchy>by child>updating the parent , child and node information in the pop up box. However it is saying duplicate in column-2.

Input files format is

Card-G Abrasive Synthetic

2. Not able to load data in actual sequence in Qual table , it is coming in random way even after introducing a sequence num with auto-id.It's header data should come as the first line but in data manager it is showing in alphabatic shorted way

Hi Reo

for the second opyion you want data like Header Size Weight so on as coloums heading. you can go to import manager select the table having this data in source.

now right click and create pivot table. take that field as key which have same values for all columna. and ok.

it will solve your second issue. but give some more information on 1st its not very clear.

Thanks for your response.

However for pivot we need a uniform trend of metadata value so that those metadata values can be converted to field. In my case 80% metadata value matches but 20% metadata values are discrete or varying.

Regarding 1st issue let me try to make it more clear .

Can you walk thru the steps to import a flat data consists of 3 column in source to a hierarchy table in destination. Complete steps of creating a hieracy table to importing is appreciated.

I have created a table type hierarchy and then tried to load the data from the source table having following data value . It gives an error like "duplicate data in column-2". My source data look like given below

Manufacturer Column-2 Column-3
