A company code is assigned to operating COA that is a must in addition to that we can maintain country specific COA and Group COA.Now in AA we assign COD to company code and from Co Cd AA module picks up Operating COA.the value which we post in AA gets recorded in G/L account created under operating COA and from here it gets updated in G/L a/c in country specific COA and Group COA.

Company code: one Chart of Account + one alternative Chart of account , but hey are no assigned in Asset Accounting.

In Asset Accounting you assign the Chart of Depreciation: One Company code ==> One Chart of Depreciation or vice versa One Chart of Depreciation ==> several Company Codes

    hope this helps
