We are looking forward to setup SSO in our BOBJ system, the layout is 1 server with the Oracle DB and the Netweaver Java Web application and 1 server with our BOBJ server. Our users login via our central application web page, so the idea is to enable SAML authentication between our employee web paga and the NW web app server (that is on our end) and to do a trusted connection between the BI (BOBJ) and the NW java web app server.
So far all SSO options talk only about using Windows AD and TomCat server, this is not my case and I can find any information
We don't have this documented internally as far as I know but I did find what looks to be a pretty good article https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Setting+up+Trusted+Authentication+between+SAP+Netweaver+A...
On the BI part we usually just verify trusted auth per KBA https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/preview/en/1593628
Then you need to follow the steps in the wiki to setup netweaver, SAML, and all the other settings outside BI
