Hi,
I have never faced such situation before, but you could try creating the same package name on the repository and look at the history pane. If after creating the package and activating it the history pane shows other versions (other the version 1), then you are lucky. Just restore the previous version of the package and its contents should come back. Even though I doubt that this technique would work at all, it is worth a try.
Did you by any chance requested a backup of the database?
