Tickets in ABAP Production support

Hi Gurus,

I am new to ABAP.

Please can anyone tell me

1) where do we see all the tickets assigned to a perticular user ( ABAP Consultant) and the ticket description.

2) what are the methods used in communicating the tickets to the technical consultant?

3) what are the things we need to check before to satrt working on a ticket.

Raj,

1) where do we see all the tickets assigned to a perticular user ( ABAP Consultant) and the ticket description.

Generally we will have a tool say ONYX wherein we will be able to create tickets,tickets related to ABAP are change management tickets.

2) what are the methods used in communicating the tickets to the technical consultant?

TL or PM will assign the tickets to the technical consultants through Mail.

3) what are the things we need to check before to satrt working on a ticket.

Everything related to that object.

is that tool ONYX is same across all the companies? or these tools vary from company to company

Raj,

Tools differ with the company.The tool I mentioned is just an example.You need to know about the SLA agreement too if you looking for info on Production Support.

So,check with the keyword SLA agreement in SDN,you will be able to get tons of info.
