Hi There
We are trying to re-create the STMS after cloning. The original STMS config and systems were deleted. The issue started in the very first step when I tried to save the new STMS configuration after entering the system and domain name. The error message was
"The password must contain atleast 1 digits (0-9)"
So I deleted the user TMSADM in the system and tried to save the STMS configuration but this time got the error message
"User TMSADM could not be created".
Now I re-created the TMSADM user by copying the profiles and other parameters from another SAP system.
But again when I tried to save the STMS config I got back the first error "The password must contain atleast 1 digits (0-9)".
We use 4.7 with Oracle 92 and the sap_basis ver 620
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Hi,
The requirements for new passwords is preventing the
TMSADM user from being generated.
This setting should be removed when you are generating the user.
The setting can be switched on again afterwards, as it checks for future
passwords and does not prevent old ones from being used.
login/min_password_digits
login/min_password_specials
login/min_password_length
set the value for these parameters to zero and restart the system.
TMSADM has a standard password which should not be changed
(use STMS -> System Overview, menu Extras -> Reset user TMSADM to
reset the password for this user).
After that you should be able to add the system back to the domain.
Please read the online-documentation on user TMSADM.
You can Implement the steps given in SAP Note 761637 in your system by
which TMSADM user will ignore the password restrictions set in your
system and reconfigure the TMS.
cheers,
Vincent

Hi
The system I was trying this out is the TMS domain controller. Now do I have to delete the TMSADM user that I created before trying this out ?
Also do I have to change the profile parameters in every other system (we have a 3 system environmnt) before re-generating this user in the domain controller which would mean I have to request a downtime for our Production server . Is there any other way of doing this ?
Thanks
